Christine Lakinski, who suffered a number of medical problems, was making her way home with a box of laminate flooring when she fell ill and stumbled into a doorway.
Christine was one of five siblings in the Lakinski family. She had a physical disability and had the mental age of a teenager.
Christine was born with a disability and was teased and ridiculed all through her life.
She was constantly having to change her address because she was always being picked on, but she had really settled in Hartlepool and had made some good friends.
But although she was vulnerable, she managed to cope of her own and was well known by neighbours in Jobson Street, Hartlepool.
Anthony Anderson, of Hartlepool, was at home with a friend and had smoked a cannabis joint and been drinking when another friend arrived and they spotted Christine.
The three went out and Anderson initially tried to rouse her by kicking the soles of her feet but then went back to his house to get a bucket of water which he threw over her.
Christine never responded and Anderson was heard by witnesses to say: āIām just going to go and p*** on her.ā
That was filmed on mobile phone and Anderson then got a tin of shaving foam from his home and covered her from head to foot before leaving her lying motionless in the doorway following the incident on July 26.
Christine was later declared dead at the scene and the cause of death later given as pancreatic failure.
During the incident the men were joined by a number of women and all were said to have laughed at his actions.
The two friends then got ready and went out for the night and Anderson was later found by police in a nightclub. He is awaiting sentencing .

Outrageous
This makes my blood boil, the poor woman. Rest in peace, I hope those involved in such a dispicable act get the harsh side of justice.
Hoping for a better place
There is a hope in all human beings of a better place, some people know it exist - others hope.. a place where all are beautiful, equally valuable and loved.
There are no perpetrators here, so no harm is done to you in your dying hour - it is the living that are outraged - by someone showing human weakness and bad timing.
'Evil' is the judgemental attitude that you suffered from all your life. And 'evil' are the minds of those who scream -Guilty- and do not see that we are all guilty victims of each other.. in -this- world.

Rest in peace.I just wanted to pay my respects to you, Christine.
Hopefully you're at a much better place now.
I am so sorry that nobody was there to help you. I cannot understand how some can be so mean and cruel as those people. But I know that you're in a much better place now,Christine. Even though I didn't know you, you seemed to be a amazing woman to those around you. Thank you for the person you were. Rest in peace.
Peace of mind
I just wanted to pay my respects to you, Christine. I feel, even though I didn't even know of your existence before this tragic incident - that this is an action of such cruelty that I just had to write something down.
Hopefully you're at a much better place now, where you're appreciated for what you are and not disgraced for what people make you..
Best wishes for your journey,
M
Rest In Peace Christine. Your story have touched the hearts of us all. The people who did this to you are animals! God have their punishment awaiting.
Written in tears
Your story hit me, in my heart. What to say ?
Hopefully you have a better staying on the other side.
Rest in peace.
I cannot describe how sad your story made me feel. I really hope you are looking down upon us and can see how many of us are outraged at this.
Nobody should suffer that sort of indignity in their final hour. I am certain that the animals who treated you that way will get their come-uppance in due time.
Rest in peace!
